Clean Your Database Regularly

It can be very effective to simply "scroll" through the database and glance at who you have in there. I was doing this in my database the other day, and realized that I have several contacts in my database that are out-of-date or no longer needed. The only reason I came across these records in the first place is because I was scrolling through the database, just checking things out.
So as part of your regular and systematic data checks you already have in place, add the "scrolling" method to the list. Even if you have thousands of members, set aside a half hour or so once a month, and do some spot-checking in the database. You'll be amazed at what you find.
