Learn Your Report-writing Tool
Everyone has asked questions like, "How many members do I have today"? or "How many of my members have already renewed"? Your database can help you answer these questions and even more complex ones on a daily basis. All you need to do is learn how to query your database.
Ask your database administrator or software vendor which reporting tool is in use with your database. It may be Access, Crystal, or an ad hoc report writer specific to your database. Then dive in and experiment, or invest in an instructional manual (don't be offended, but the "For Dummies" series is a great place to start). Start by building simple queries and work your way up. You'll find that a little effort will yield a lot of result.
